Telecoms software provider Advantix has announced the acquisition of IoT technology company BlueKloud in order to broaden its service offering towards communication management.

BlueKloud’s offering allows organisations to monitor any device with beacons while linking in related information from their existing surrounding systems. Advantix provides expense management solutions for both wireline and wireless communication, allowing clients to track, manage, and secure devices.

Advantix COO, Nathan Brown, said: “Device and wireline management is a critical facet of what we do. We saw an opportunity to expand the same type of management to all assets within an organisation whether they are connected to the cloud or not.”

BlueKloud CEO, Bryan Merckling, said: “By hardening this new IoT technology for the enterprise, we are going to shape a new way for companies to understand their business. Technology to manage assets for optimum efficiency has historically been out of reach for most companies.
